FFO Mix “only once.” is a dj mix, curated by me, telling the 3 act structure of ignorance, sorrow, and acceptance. Not tied to a genre, but rather a feeling of highs and lows. This isn’t for the club. This is meant to be played in the sanctuary of your pitch black room while multitasking.
At the end of the day I am a designer. This over glorified playlist was designed to give me something to brand and create visuals for as well as scratch my itch of spreading new music. A radio show with the host feeding you prerecorded lines in between acts. Acts that fade away like a gradient of green pale skin in a black room.
A tightening black room bounces off the sound of muffled bass. Lights begin to flicker again rapidly flashing the hundreds of bodies kissing shoulders. A man's chrome grill shines bright through his lifeless smile. The air is thick and hot. Breathing feels as if a collapse of the lungs is inevitable. In the front is the dj. His wires, like sprouting roots, converge near his abdomen feeding him just enough to keep him going. Through the night skin tones shift to a pale green sickness. And I know I am sick. I know one day I must face it.
